Rimless Reading Glasses Can Be Cool

Youre finally getting used to the fact that you need reading glasses, but you need to choose a style. Maybe youre just not finding a frame that you feel is flattering to your features. You may not be someone who wants glasses to match every outfit. You want something useable and unobtrusive. Rimless reading glasses are just that. The lenses are thinner and scratch resistant and they come in a number of shapes. The focus will be on your gorgeous eyes instead of your glasses.

Some rimless reading glasses are not completely without a frame. They may have a rim on the bottom only. Some people who use reading glasses for computer work find that the rims on typical reading glasses are distracting and opt for a rimless style. Other people just like the way they look. You might worry about the fit, but these types of glasses have comfortable nose pads for a secure fit and the hinged temples make them easy to put on and take off. Without a frame, these glasses are lightweight and comfortable.

The frames can be made in metal, stainless steel, titanium, acrylic and plastics. Lenses may be round, square, or rectangular. Some are mounted with screws, but screw less styles is available. If you need folding readers, the rimless glasses are easily adapted to a folding configuration. The very slim styles that you often find to carry in a handbag are often rimless.

If you are worried about looking old fashioned, dont. Rimless reading glasses have a sleek modern look and no one will tease you about wearing granny glasses. If you are into a more retro look, they do have some old fashioned frames. Just because they are rimless doesnt eliminate having a choice of colors. The earpieces can be any color you like. I think the rimless sunglasses look really sharp as well. You can look sweet and old fashioned or as funky as Elton John in the variety of rimless reading glasses on the market and you wont have to break the bank to buy them. Prices are often less than twenty dollars a pair.
